Delambre est un cratère de 53 Km et profond de 3500 m. Situé sur le continent près de la mer de la tranquillité il est bien dessiné avec seulement un petit cratère Delambre D porté par le mur nord. L’intérieur des murailles descend en gradins vers le fond irrégulier et tourmenté par des crevasses, craterlets et monticules.

Delambre is a lunar impact crater that lies to the southwest of Mare Tranquillitatis, in the central highland region. To the west are the crater pair of Theon Junior and Theon Senior, the later being more distant and located to the northwest.

The rim of Delambre has a terraced interior, with a tiny craterlet lying along the northern rim. In the south is a low cut forming a slight notch. The crater interior has an irregular surface.
